The Tree Ride

Sunday, September 14 2025

A wending ride through Auburn will showcase some of the special trees found here. Local arborists/naturalists will explain the importance of the trees, the services they provide, and how they fit into the urban canopy.

The ride will be about eight miles long and will probably take two–to–three hours, traveling through central Auburn and Auburn University. Lunch afterwards, if you like, to share tall tales about trees, or tales about tall trees.

Date: Sunday, September 14.
Time: 9:00 am at the Gay Street Parking Lot, across from Auburn Bank.
Road Conditions: All paved. Any bikes/tires will be fine.
Bring: Water. Snacks. Cameras. Treasure for lunch.
