Not a Ride … an Adventure!

The Second Sunday Ride is all about having an adventure by bicycle. Each month our rides explore scenic, historic, cultural, and other interesting places or events.
Most rides are within an hour's drive of Auburn, Alabama.
No rides are too long or fast. We tailor them to fit about anyone. Join us!

Our Next Adventure

The Wine Ride
Sunday, June 14, 2026

This is normally our blueberry picking ride, stopping at Blueberry Havens along the route. Unfortunately our friend, Rod Havens, passed away on March 25. The farm is closed.

Rod was a friend to many of us and always welcomed us for picking and conversations. One of his passions was books. He had a huge collection of them next to his office and welcomed anyone to borrow them. In his career as a counselor in the Auburn City Schools system he helped many kids navigate their way through life. He will really be missed.

We’ll meet at Hodge's Vineyards and Winery and park the cars there. Then, ride a nice, 15-mile rolling loop. Afterwards, sample some wine, then maybe head over to Niffer's Place Lake Martin for lunch.

The folks at Hodges will have the parking area ready for us and restrooms unlocked at 9:00. (They don't open for the public until 10:00 AM.) Please stop in after the ride to say hi and check out their offerings.

Date: Sunday, June 14.
Time: 9:00 AM. Meet at Hodges Vineyards and Winery.
Road Conditions: Rolling. All paved, any bikes/tires will do.
Bring: Water. Treasure for any wine you might like and for lunch at Niffer's. Water.
