Information about each of the points of interest is available from several sources:
- The Park Brochure and Map you receive as you enter the Park.
- Cell Phone Tour. Call the tour phone number (601-262-2100) and enter the tour stop number to hear information about that stop.
- A smart phone app, Vicksburg Battle App, has information about a number of pull-overs. It also has guides for auto tours around the larger Vicksburg area.
- Licensed tour guides are also available for a fee. For cyclists, a guide would meet us at each pull-over and explain what happened there.
- Lots of information on the Park's web site, in the History and Culture section.
Several options for a Sunday ride:
- Ride through the Park again.
- Ride/walk through the historic downtown area. Grab brunch there.
- Ride the Natchez Trace. There are three places to start/stop a ride near Vicksburg. Park cars at two of them and ride from one to the other. Or have someone drop you off at one and pick you up at another on the way home. Easy access points from Vicksburg near Miles 40, 60, and 90.
